Advertisement for Bids- Solid Waste Service

NOTICE TO SOLID WASTE SERVICE BIDDERS

 

          The Village of Plymouth, Ohio will accept sealed bids to provide solid waste services within the Village for a five (5) year contract commencing January 1, 2025.  Bids must be received by the Village Fiscal Officer by no later than four o’clock p.m. (4:00 p.m.) on December 5, 2024 at 48 W. Broadway, Plymouth, Ohio.

Solid Waste Services

  1. Provide one time per week solid waste collection for all residential and commercial hand-service collection. 
  2. Weekly collection shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
  3. An unlimited number of standard sized bags/cans not exceeding 34 gallons in capacity may be collected from each customer’s location but subject to reasonable and ordinary limitations. 
  4. Large/bulky items will require a minimum of 24 hours notice and be subject to a fee schedule provided as part of this bid. 
  5. Collection from Plymouth East Road addresses, Landmark Management, VES Properties and Chapman & Tuttle Properties LLC properties are excluded from the bid and contract. (See Exhibit A at www.plymouthoh.org) 
  6. At no additional cost a one-time, no cost annual spring clean-up of large and/or bulky items shall be provided to Village customers. 
  7. At no charge to the Village TWO six (6) yard dumpsters shall be provided at the Village street garage and Municipal Building. 
  8. Village shall be invoiced monthly for each residential and commercial hard-service customer minus twenty (20) waste collection points allowed by the Village. 
  9. Village shall be billed monthly with payment due thirty (30) days of invoice date. 
  10. Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State and local laws and ordinances.  Contractor shall provide proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance and Automobile Liability and General Liability Insurance for the duration of this contract with the Village. 
  11. Contractor shall indemnify and save harmless the Village from all risks, claims and liabilities arising from its performance of its solid waste services. 
  12. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
